6/17/2013 – 14th of Early Summer

  1. Planted the second half of the Porter tomatoes. The ground was soft from the rain last night. Will probably finish tomatoes, then plant sweet potatoes, okra, and finally cowpeas
  2. The early and late potatoes look good, but the main potatoes are dying off. Out of 22 plants, eight are dead and two more are looking pretty rough
  3. Noticed some fruit developing on the Sand Plums. They are green, but it is nice to see some survived the late freeze
