Trying to add more whole grains to my diet. This week I am experimenting with cooking hard red winter wheat overnight using a thermos. Yesterday I heated two and a half cups water in the microwave for two minutes and combined with one cup of wheat berries in a thermos. This created too much food and it didn’t cook all the way. Tonight I reduced the wheat to one half cup and water to two cups. These were combined and then heated in the microwave for two minutes. The next step will be to see how much I can reduce the water.
