Animals Looks like dogsĀ tried to break into coop again. No fatalities this time. 2 eggs (all hens in white coop) Garden Picked more Hornworms then tomatoes. Another handful of cowpea pods. No time to shell them. Finally saw flowers on

8/28/12 – 26th day of Late Summer

Animals Six of the chicks appear to have been killed by a neighborhood dog. Spent all evening repairing pens. Will have to put off butchering for a while. Weather High was 93F, low was 64F, and precipitation unchanged.

General Worked a double so I didn’t get anything done. Weather High was 91F, low was 67F. Precipitation was unchanged.

Animals One egg from the white coop, two from the red. Weather Rained again. Still very humid. High today was 85F and the low was 69F. Precipitation was 2.28″ daily, 2.74″ monthly, and 14.91″ yearly
